“Green finance is a window of opportunities in the modern world, implying a whole new development of the financial market”. In recent years, an increasing number of countries have begun to pay attention to global environmental deterioration. Issues of violation of environmental safety and environment preservation have become particularly relevant for the world community, defining the main direction of formation and implementation of environmentally clean technologies. Kyrgyzstan, with its unique natural ecosystems, pays close attention to the sustainable use of biosphere resources and adopts measures to combat the negative effects of climate change. In order to contribute to the development of opportunities of “green economy”, Doscredobank has launched a special DCB Green programme, aimed at introducing and launching environmentally friendly technologies through a range of green lending products. A fairly new segment has been selected as the first stages of the direction - financing electric vehicles as environmentally friendly transport, which will reduce air pollution by reducing exhaust emissions. This will stimulate public interest in the latest technology, generating initial demand for this modern mode of transport and thereby helping to create a more 'green' model of behavior in society. Due to the particular relevance and growing potential of electric vehicles in the Kyrgyz Republic, Doscredobank, within the DCB Green environmental project, will also expand the network of charging stations across the project partners' sites. At the moment, there is interest from transport companies in Bishkek and Osh who are ready to add electric vehicles to their fleet given the adequate funding. There is an interest among transport companies of Bishkek and Osh cities, ready to replenish their fleet with electric cars with adequate funding.

As an extension of its “green” strategy of supporting ecology, environment and health, Doscredobank, together with partner organizations, has launched a project on gasification of households, which will reduce smog emissions, concentrations of mercury and formaldehyde as a consequence of coal combustion as well as the potential to reduce carcinogenic risk in the population. On June 9 2021, Doscredobank and “Gazprom Kyrgyzstan” signed a Memorandum to ensure access of the public and legal entities to the complex of gasification services. A unique opportunity to purchase the necessary gas equipment in installments of up to 18 months with 0% interest will allow residents not only to save money, forgoing electric heating, but also to optimize the cost of servicing their own households. Supporting gasification projects is part of the actual “green” vector of development of Doscredobank and “Gazprom Kyrgyzstan, aimed at promotion of ecological and social projects; mitigation of climate change, and energy and resource saving. Green lending is a responsible financing that benefits the environment and society as a whole.
