Doscredobank OJSC and the Climate Finance Center entered into strategic partnership

Doscredobank OJSC and the Climate Finance Center signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation.

The purpose of this Memorandum is to establish strategic partnership relations and develop long-term effective cooperation between the Parties aimed at:

• interaction on attracting climate investments
• implementation of joint initiatives related to climate change
• introduction of environmental programs and projects

This is an important step in implementation of the Bank's ESG-strategy aimed at supporting "green" projects and sustainable economic development of Kyrgyzstan.

Key areas of cooperation:

• Development of financing programs for renewable energy and energy efficiency projects
• Supporting initiatives to reduce carbon footprint and adapt to climate change
• Introduction of environmental standards into the Bank's corporate and loan policies

"We are sure that partnership with the Climate Finance Center will allow us to expand opportunities for business and population in access to "green" financial solutions", - said T.E. Omuraliev, the Chairman of the Management Board of Doscredobank OJSC.

The Memorandum provides a framework for:

• working together to attract investment in environmental projects
• achieving sustainable development goals in Kyrgyzstan
• implementing climate programs of national importance
