On July 7, 2026, Doscredobank hosted a delegation from the Institute of Finance and Sustainability (IFS, Beijing), a leading international expert center in green and sustainable finance.
The visit was a significant event for the Bank and another step in developing international cooperation aimed at implementing modern ESG approaches and best global sustainable finance practices in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The delegation was led by Dr. Ma Jun, Founder and President of the Institute of Finance and Sustainability (IFS, Beijing), and co-chair of the G20 Sustainable Finance Task Force. The delegation also included Stella Lan Shen, Director of the IFS International Cooperation Department.
Doscredobank OJSC was represented at the meeting by Chairman of the Management Board Omuraliev Talantbek Esengulovich, Member of the Management Board Ubyshev Aidar Erkinbekovich, and ESG specialist Osmonova Begaim Nurlanovna.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues related to the development of sustainable finance. Key topics included the prospects for the development of the green bond market, training and certification programs for banking sector specialists in green finance, verification of green financial instruments, and current ESG development trends in Central Asia and internationally.
The choice of Doscredobank OJSC as the venue for the meeting was no coincidence. Today, the Bank is the first "green" bank not only in Kyrgyzstan but also in Central Asia, consistently implementing sustainable finance principles in its operations.
As part of its DCB GREEN strategy, the Bank is implementing a range of initiatives aimed at supporting sustainable development. Doscredobank OJSC became the first bank in Central Asia to join the Green Investment Principles as part of the international Belt and Road Initiative. The bank was also the first in Kyrgyzstan to introduce a green deposit, whose funds are used exclusively to finance environmental projects. It was the first to implement projects jointly with the Green Climate Fund (GCF), and is actively developing a range of green loans, supporting projects in energy efficiency, renewable energy, and green transport.
Such meetings are strategically important for the development of the country's financial sector. International exchange of experience enables the implementation of best practices, the refinement of financial instruments, and the strengthening of cooperation with leading global experts in sustainable development.
Doscredobank views ESG not as a standalone area, but as an important part of its long-term development strategy. By expanding international partnerships and implementing best global practices, the Bank contributes to the formation of a modern sustainable finance system and the development of a green economy in Kyrgyzstan.
